- and more!

Our History

It was September 21, 1946. A group of passionate art enthusiasts gathered together to create an association called The Victoria Fine Arts Association. This group would encourage the enrichment of the fine arts in the Victoria area. For over 70 years, board members of the VFAA built a culture of support for people who were interested in learning a fine art. They cultivated this support by bringing in performers from all over the world.

By hosting these programs, VFAA built a scholarship program to help students who wanted to pursue a career in fine arts. Some of the most notable acts that VFAA has brought to Victoria include:

Luciano Pavarotti
Fred Waring
Vienna Boys Choir
Leona Mitchell
Chet Atkins
San Antonio Symphony
Houston Symphony
Tokyo String Quartet
Toulouse Symphony
Sherrill Milnes
Houston Ballet
Boston Symphony
Martina Arroyo
...and many others!

We have continued to bring both entertaining and educational programming to Victoria through our annual event, JAMFest (Jazz, Art, and More Fest). With support from sponsors and season donors, we are able to continue programming the exceeds expectations and generates funds for fine arts scholarships to students in Victoria, Texas.
